On August 24, 2024, Frank Kessler gave a presentation “Documenter l’invisible autour de 1900” at a conference on “The Invisible at the Crossroads of Literature, Performace Arts and Cinema (1850-1930)” held at the Centre Culturel International in Cerisy-la-Salle (Normandy, France). He talked about projections of photomicrographs and microscope specimens by means of optical lanterns in the late nineteenth century.
